Your Wedding Ceremony

Once you have selected me as your celebrant we will spend some time discussing and planning your ceremony. It can be as traditional or contemporary as you choose. I have a range of suggested Askings and Ring Ceremonies from which you may like to choose.

Heather Boundy - Civil CelebrantI suggest that together you write your own wedding vows, as they should be a reflection of you as a couple, with your commitment to each other and your dreams for the future. I am happy to provide you with some ideas on which to base your vows if you need a starting point.

Some couples like to include a specially symbolic segment to their wedding such as a Rose, Candle or Handfasting Ceremony. I am happy to create this for you.

To assist me in making your ceremony as personal as possible, I will request that you fill out a questionnaire which will tell me something of your history as a couple. e.g.

  • Where did you first meet?
  • What is it that you love about each other?
  • What are some of the things that you enjoy sharing together?

You may like to include members of your family or friends in the ceremony by asking them to read a favourite poem or reading. I can give you lots of appropriate suggestions.
